Manga Ink
Your photo, redrawn as elegant black-and-white manga.

What it does
Convert any photo into a premium black-and-white manga illustration with crisp ink linework and subtle grayscale shading.
When to use it
- Turn a portrait into a clean black-and-white manga character study
- Redraw couple or group photos as a single cohesive manga frame
- Create a manga-style avatar or profile picture from a selfie
- Make monochrome cover or poster art from a striking photo
- Give a full-body outfit shot a crisp inked illustration look
- Transform travel or street scenes into atmospheric manga panels
When not to use it
- Keeping the original colors — the result is intentionally black-and-white
- Photorealistic edits that should still look like a photograph
- Adding comic panels, speech bubbles, or speed-line effects
- Redesigning the person into a new pose, outfit, or character
How it works
Upload a photo and the whole image is re-rendered as a black-and-white manga illustration. The system reads your composition, faces, hair, clothing, and background, then redraws them with crisp ink outlines and subtle grayscale shading while holding onto the original framing and likeness. In a few seconds you get a clean, high-resolution monochrome illustration of your entire scene.

Frequently asked questions
Will I still recognize the person in the result?
Yes. Manga Ink preserves facial structure, age impression, expression, hairstyle, and proportions, so the subject still looks like themselves — just drawn as manga. It avoids oversized heads or exaggerated anime eyes that break the resemblance.
Is the result fully black-and-white?
Yes. The output is intentionally monochrome — clean ink outlines with subtle grayscale shading. It will not add color, painterly effects, or leave any photographic areas untouched.
Does it add comic panels, speech bubbles, or speed lines?
No. The image stays as one cohesive illustrated frame of your photo. It does not add panels, bubbles, symbols, speed lines, or other comic graphics.
What kind of photo works best?
Clear, well-lit photos with a readable subject and background work best. Portraits, full-body outfit shots, group photos, pets, and atmospheric scenes all translate well into the inked style.
Will my framing or aspect ratio change?
No. The original composition, crop, camera angle, and framing are preserved. The whole scene is redrawn in place rather than recomposed.
Can I use the result commercially?
Yes — generated images on upsa are yours to use for personal and commercial purposes. We recommend you keep the consent and rights to the source photo as well, since the output preserves the identity in it.
How long are my photos stored?
Source uploads and generated results are stored for 48 and then automatically deleted from upsa's storage. We don't train any model on your photos.
AI results vary
Each generation uses a different random seed, so your result may not exactly match the example shown. If the first try doesn't fit what you had in mind, run it again — output differs noticeably between runs.
