Oil Atelier
A faithful oil-painting repaint — same image, master-painter texture.

What it does
Turns your photo into a museum-grade oil painting while preserving lighting and composition. Thick brushstrokes and natural palette — identity and pose stay intact.
When to use it
- Portrait photos turned into framed fine-art keepsakes
- Wedding and family photos as heirloom-quality oil portraits
- Pet portraits in a classical painted style
- Memorial and gift prints with a gallery feel
- Editorial covers and brand visuals that need a painterly tone
- Product imagery with a luxurious fine-art finish
When not to use it
- Documentary or evidentiary use where photographic realism is required
- Stylization that distorts proportions or anatomy — choose Recreate or Game Style
- Cartoon, anime, or abstract redesigns — this model is intentionally restrained
- Designs that need a different palette or composition than the source photo
How it works
Oil Atelier runs the same generative edit model as Recreate but with a prompt locked onto a faithful repaint: composition, proportions, perspective, camera angle, lighting, and colors are preserved exactly, while oil-paint texture, brushstrokes, layered pigments, and a subtle canvas grain are layered on top. Edges soften naturally — never forcefully. Results typically return in about 15 seconds on GPU infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
Will the composition or perspective change?
No. The prompt locks composition, proportions, perspective, camera angle, lighting, and colors. Only surface texture changes — the painting shows the same scene, repainted.
Will faces still look like the person?
Yes. Faces and bodies keep their identity. The model is not a stylization or caricature filter — people still look like themselves, just rendered as an oil painting.
Will the colors of my photo change?
No. Colors are preserved. Pigments are layered to mimic real oil paint, but the underlying palette of your photo stays the same.
Why does the painting look slightly softer than the photo?
Real oil paint naturally softens edges and adds painterly blending. The prompt allows this gentle, natural softening — but it never distorts forms.
Can I use this for non-portrait photos?
Yes. It works for portraits, landscapes, pets, products, and scenes. Anywhere a real fine-art oil painting would feel right.
Is the result watermarked?
No. upsa never watermarks or brands your output. The result is yours — print, frame, share anywhere.
Where are my photos stored?
Photos are processed temporarily and auto-deleted within 48 hours. We do not keep copies and we do not train models on your photos.
AI results vary
Each generation uses a different random seed, so your result may not exactly match the example shown. If the first try doesn't fit what you had in mind, run it again — output differs noticeably between runs.
