What it does

Structural Cutaway sections the world in your photo open, exposing buildings, roads and infrastructure as believable engineering while the person stays photorealistic.

Structural Cutaway takes the photo you upload and treats it like a scene running through a real-world architectural scanning system. Instead of redesigning anything, it keeps your photograph exactly as it is and opens the world inside it — revealing the internal structure of every building, road and machine as if reality itself had been professionally sectioned for analysis. Your composition stays completely locked. Camera angle, framing, perspective, depth, lighting direction and the placement of every object are preserved, so the result reads as the same photograph rather than a new image. What changes is what you can see: skyscrapers slice open to show realistic interior floors, streets reveal the metro tunnels and infrastructure layers beneath them, and walls expose the beams, cables and pipework that hold them together. The reconstruction is dense and information-rich, but never cluttered. Support beams, steel reinforcement, elevator shafts, ventilation, drainage and layered construction materials all appear with believable wall thickness and engineering-grade detail. Every cut is mathematically clean and physically coherent — it looks intentionally analyzed, not damaged. There is no shattered debris, no explosion, no exploded-view chaos. The person in your photo is not the cutaway target. They stay photorealistic, anatomically natural and fully recognizable, with their identity, pose, silhouette and skin intact. The transformation happens to the architecture and infrastructure around them, so the human remains the elegant, dominant subject while the world becomes structurally revealed. Use it when you want a photo that feels intelligent, rare and expensive — an image that looks captured by a high-end architectural visualization system rather than a regular camera. It works on cityscapes, streets, interiors and portraits set against built environments, and because the original geometry is untouched, the scene always stays believable.

When to use it

  • Turn a cityscape or skyline photo into a sectioned engineering visualization
  • Reveal the metro tunnels and underground infrastructure beneath a street scene
  • Give a portrait set against buildings a striking architectural-cutaway backdrop
  • Create a dramatic, technical-looking cover or profile image from an ordinary shot
  • Show the internal structure of a building or interior for a design-led visual
  • Produce premium architectural-visualization imagery from everyday photos

When not to use it

  • Photos where you want the scene kept as a plain, untouched photograph
  • Close-up portraits with no architecture or environment to section open
  • Cartoon, anime or stylized looks — this is a precise, realistic effect
  • Very dark, blurry or low-detail photos where structure is hard to read

How it works

Structural Cutaway reads your uploaded photo as a fixed master composition and reconstructs the world inside it rather than generating a new scene. It analyzes every visible architectural element — buildings, tunnels, roads, vehicles and interiors — and sections them open to reveal believable internal structure: beams, floors, piping, cabling and layered construction materials. The cuts are kept mathematically clean and physically coherent, with subtle internal shading for depth. Throughout, your composition, camera angle, lighting and the human subject are preserved exactly as they were.

Frequently asked questions

Will the person in my photo still look like themselves?

Yes. The human subject is never the cutaway target. Structural Cutaway preserves identity, facial readability, body proportions, pose and skin realism, so the person stays fully recognizable and photorealistic while the world around them is sectioned open.

Does this destroy or explode the scene?

No. The cuts are clean, precise and intentionally analyzed, the way an engineering cutaway visualization looks. There is no shattered debris, no explosion effect and no exploded-view chaos — the structure is exposed, not damaged.

What internal structure does it add?

It reveals believable engineering — support beams, steel reinforcement, floor segmentation, elevator shafts, ventilation, piping, cabling, underground tunnels and layered construction materials. The detail is dense and information-rich but kept elegant and readable, never cluttered.

What kind of photo works best?

Sharp, well-lit photos with visible architecture, streets or built environments give the best results, since there is more for the reconstruction to section open. Very dark, blurry or low-detail images make it harder to produce clean structural detail.

Will my photo be cropped or reframed?

No. The crop, framing, perspective and aspect ratio of your original photo are preserved. The reconstruction works strictly within the exact composition you uploaded.

Can I use the result commercially?

Yes — generated images on upsa are yours to use for personal and commercial purposes. We recommend you keep the consent and rights to the source photo as well, since the output preserves the identity in it.

How long are my photos stored?

Source uploads and generated results are stored for 48 and then automatically deleted from upsa's storage. We don't train any model on your photos.

AI results vary

Each generation uses a different random seed, so your result may not exactly match the example shown. If the first try doesn't fit what you had in mind, run it again — output differs noticeably between runs.
